A Bold New Vision for Our District

Julian was born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. He is the son of Cuban teachers who came to America with almost nothing. They worked hard and were eventually able to open a school in Hialeah that has educated countless children over the last four decades. Their strong work ethic and compassion for people are qualities that they have passed on to Julian.

He attended Monsignor Edward Pace High School before being awarded a Bright Futures scholarship to study at the University of Florida. After graduating from UF in 2011, he took a job with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation in Miami, where banks were causing many people to lose their homes and jobs. Julian has spent the last seven years working as part of the effort to clean up the mess that the banks created.

Now, Julian wants to clean up the mess that Governor Rick Scott and Republicans in Tallahassee have created. They have left nearly a million Floridians without access to affordable health care. They have paid our teachers wages that almost no one can survive on. And they are doing nothing to protect Florida from climate change. With your support, Julian wants to go to Tallahassee to be a champion for ordinary Floridians.
